the wires to make the wire color make sense. |

| Here is the mess you will uncover when removing the
cover from under the steering wheel and dropping the panel
above the pedals: |
. |
| This shows where we installed tap-in spade connectors
on the Red and Pink wires. We cut the Yellow wire and
installed butt connectors. The side from the ignition
switch will no longer be used, but we capped it off with
a butt connector anyway so it wouldn’t short against
anything in case the switch was turned to "start." |
| Relay power and output now connected |
| Here is what the upper console will look like when cigarette
lighter is removed. The lighter is a pain to remove and
took some large pliers and a few choice words. |
| The hole is about 1/32 too small. Use a dremel to bore
the hole out larger. Just test fit it every few passes
with a dremel bit. There are better bits to use rather
than the one shown, but we couldn’t find all of
our bits and just used this one. As you can see, our dremel
skills are lacking…. |
| But…. Finally with a little patience!!! |
| Now we hooked up the wires from the plug going to the
switch to the relay. |
| Here is where we grounded it to. We used a bolt that
holds a cross member under the steering wheel. |
| Now the switch’s wires are tied in place and ready
for the upper console to be put back on. |
| Had to test everything to make sure it starts before
putting the console back together. Otherwise known as
the "smoke test." Luckily for us, we started
right up without any major fires. |
| The finished product. |
