Painted Brake Calipers
Painting your Brake Calipers is extremely easy and will give your car a much more sportier appearance over stock form. The calipers will especially stand out if you have a large pair of aftermarket wheels installed on your car. Please remember to allow ample drying time before you start to drive your car. Also, unless you dont mind seeing overspray all over your car be sure to mask off all areas you dont want the paint to reach such as inner fender wells etc.
Required Tools and Materials:

1) High temperature engine paint
2) Couple plastic bags
3) Some tape
4) Brake cleaner

Painting Your Brake Calipers
Step 1:
Jack up the car and take off the wheels, if you only have 2 jack stands just do one side at a time, either the front or the back.

Step 2:
Clean the calipers. Spray on the brake cleaner that should help get off alot of the gunk on the caliper. Just scrub it down some, it doesn't have to be spotless but clean it off as much as you can.

Step 3:
Mask of the rest of the brake system. Some people take the whole caliper off to paint them. I don't think thats necessary. Just tape some plastic around the rotor and everything else you don't want painted and you should be good. Here's a shot of my rear brakes masked.

Step 4:
Paint. Like I said I used High temperature engine paint to paint my calipers. I got mine at a local auto store called Kragens. I'm not sure if it'll be the same for everyone but my paint seemed a little watery. If yours is the same way, just spray it on in layers giving the layers about 10-15 minutes to set. When you've got the calipers the color you want, let it dry for a good hour. Some people actually use clear coat at the end, but I didn't and it still looks good. Plus, I don't know if there are high temperature clear coats. In any case, a can of High temperature engine paint only runs about 5 bucks. If it starts fading, just spray on another coat. It shouldn't be a problem though, seeing as the paint is made to withstand very high temperatures.

Step 5:
Put your wheels back on and floss your painted calipers. Here's a picture of my front calipers.
